New - The Summer Project
2008-05-12 15:38:18
I have a lot of songs that need recording plus a lot of different ideas I need to get rid of. Therefor, until mid-August I'll be posting in my blog a new song each week. I'll post notes about the writing and recording. I hope you'll find them interesting as well. Following the first post there will be a RSS feed for you to subscribe since they will be delivered as a podcast.

If you haven't yet, check out the Indie Music Sampler podcast. Vitor's song Angelina was featured last week but the rest of the show was awesome too. Listen - and leave Paul a nice comment for his efforts. Here's the link to the Indie Music Sampler podcast. Once again, thank you, Paul.

New EP - Free download

Angelina, a song taken from the forthcoming Last Train To Wonderland album is available as a free download MP3 at Last.fm. The concept - download it or listen to it at Vitor Cunha at Last.fm and let the world know that it's there. Send it to your friends, make mix tapes, include it in your blog or social network page. But if you want to be really nice about my gift to you, you can either sign my newsletter or scrobble the song at Last.fm. You could even do both...

Working website
2008-01-28 18:25:54
There are several glitches in this website as of yet but, nevertheless, it is live now. Do you know that I am mainly a songwriter and guitarist (and singer by necessity) and not a web designer? Don't need to let me know as of yet about several Internet Explorer problems - I am aware of them. That's the consequence of designing on a Mac. During this week everything will be hopefully sorted out. In the meantime, browse a little and subscribe my newsletter. You can also listen the full Strangers At Dawn album while you're waiting for further news of my newest album Last Train To Wonderland. Stay tuned because there will be some amazing competition opportunities for you. Well, amazing is a very ambitious term but, at the very least, you will win DRM free music and other (as of yet unspecified) goodies.

New album to be released
2008-01-23 16:39:23
Three and a half years since the debut "Strangers At Dawn", I'll be releasing the followup work, titled "Last Train To Wonderland". It features 10 new songs recorded during the summer of 2007 at my home studio. More than producing and performing the work, this time around I also played all instruments embedded in a true DIY ethic. The front cover features a beautiful photograph by Silvia De Luque who kindly provided me the right to use it. The moment I saw the photo I knew that would be perfect for my work. The songs range in style from the previous "Strangers At Dawn" kind of writing to acoustic folk ballads and to beach party Jimmy Buffet. Although thematically "Strangers At Dawn" was darker, "Last Train To Wonderland" reflects on possibilities and last chances. Recorded in two weeks, it features some raw sounds - overplaying or perfection wasn't what I was aiming at. I wanted to get this out of my chest as fast as I could possibly think of.

Website finally up and running
2008-01-23 16:28:30
The website has been down - at least in terms of real functionality - for far too long. I redesigned the whole engine behind it and applied a newly created theme to it which will bring new functionalities and, hopefully, a new level of interactivity. Ready for the new album (to be released soon, wait further news), it provides an easy mechanism for downloads, free tracks, free mp3s and other items. It also provides a new redesigned mailing list subscription service which is smarter than the previous version - allowing for quick removal of subscribers, auto-cleaning for outdated addresses and several other little tweaks. From now on it will be possible to add and remove menus as easily as providing a new free mp3. Although the system uses no open or commercial CMS solution, all that is necessary was written from scratch. Stay tuned for musical news very very soon.
